A Running Thought

April 7th, 2010

As spring bears down upon us all, I find myself visiting the usual stomping grounds. It seems there are certain scenes and landscapes which transcend time. Regardless of how many times you visit or see them, Snoqualmie Falls seem to always captivate the imagination.

Original Perspective, #1 of 2009

December 29th, 2009

In the closing days of 2009, I look back on the past year. Although it was one of the first pictures of this past year, it is still my favorite, and a picture many have fallen in love with. I hope you enjoy a safe and happy New Year!

Welcome to 200!!!

October 23rd, 2009

As a celebration of my 200th post a riddle is told.

1.) Where a "Full 90" is required.

2.) This Stadium is recognized as the official host of Washington States Gold and Purple Day. As Declared by Cristine Gregoire.

3.) This ______ is for you!

4.) If a Siesta is what you need, a street is where I am.

5.) The "Waining Minutes" reveal the Emerald of the City.

The first post to get all 5 correctly, wins a fantastic free print of a picture of their choosing, either poster size (24x36 or smaller).

Today is a Self Portrait. As I was at Snoqualmie Falls recently, there was nothing to capture or put the perspective of the falls into focus. Being as such, I decided I would try to enter my art, and become not the focus, but a balancing solution to the equation, of the capture

Standing Stones

October 12th, 2009

What a view! I decided to visit a common stomping ground for me in Snoqualmie Falls. The fall is why many decide to call the northwest home. With the changing of colors and crisp cool air, it seems many feel invigorated by the change of seasons.

Framed

February 5th, 2009

I was unable to get out and about today so thought I would use a picture I took the other weekend up at the falls. Its wonderful when you can take a naturally framed shot and don't have to tell someone not to move until you get the right picture.

A Fisherman's Dream

January 26th, 2009
I was able to get out and about with my girlfriend today and enjoyed myself quite thoroughly. If you have been reading the blog you might know this waterfall from a past post about the flooding in the Northwest along with the impressive roaring torrent at Snoqualmie Falls. On that day it was impossible to get down the lower portion of the falls and get a great view. However, today was a different story as I was treated a local fisherman of the falls. What looks like dust particles is actually snow in early the afternoon.

The Rains of Winter Bring Spring Beauty

January 10th, 2009

Raining still in the world of Western Washington, however, immersed in winter, I can't help to look to the beauty of spring with all the rain and moisture we have been getting. I was up hiking near Snoqualmie , and couldn't help but just look at everything in amazement. Landslides were abundant, with downed trees and instant streams, which will be featured later this week.

Aren't You Glad You Aren't A Those Rocks

January 9th, 2009

The pummeling you or I might take during a basketball game or polo match is nothing compared to the daily beating the rocks at the bottom of Snoqualmie Falls today, a day after the rains have ceased in Western Washington. As the rains have stopped the flooding has subsided, however, that does not mean there is no large amount of water, as the thunderous falls prove.
