Its always amazing to think how many people have walked a flight of stairs. How many will walk after you? On this flight, there are even some fishes to keep you company on your way up or down.

The Price of Luxury
June 11th, 2009
On Seattle's waterfront there is a very visible presence of the economic recession. As the rich and famous- well maybe not too rich or too famous, but somewhat well off- take off to view Alaska on this Celebrity cruise ship, others are relegated to hoping to get a lunchtime meal.

The Essence of Camping
June 10th, 2009
With everything unloaded the toughest question of the day is what to do first? In the Pacific Northwest Camping is a way of life between Memorial Day and Labor Day. I absolutely love it, being swallowed in nature. At Clear Creak Campground near Darrington, Wa, an hour and a half northeast of Seattle, the sounds of the city disappear as you are taken to the center of the world, surrounded by rigid snow capped peaks and cascading waterfalls.

Where The Sun Ends and Mars Begins
June 9th, 2009
Tonight, those of us int he western part of Washington were blessed with a truly magnificent sunset. A full red sun burned on the vast horizon as it looked as though the sun was setting and the red planet (Mars) was rising. This young fellow is enjoying a perfect evening for fishing on Martha Lake.
