A Friday night in Seattle can be just as busy as a weekday morning. With all the stagnation which has occurred this week smog is still visible at night as you can see in the glow of the city.
Concluding the week, I happened upon this colorful rendition of our new president just off of Pike Street above I-5. Along with the vibrant colors on the banner, the building also jumps out as you as you walk by. It gives you a sense that it might LEAP out at you and say, "Hello There!!!". I am very much looking forward to some brighter days in the area! Hello weekend!
After a short two day reprieve, and soaking in the tremendous moment in our nation's history I was back on scene of wonderful Westlake Center. Although it was fairly empty in the early morning hours, it is normally a place of hustle and bustle and one of our many city's "hearts". I recently rain into a customer at work who commented about the tremendous views of our city and dynamic landscape of the Northwest. Even though our region is besieged by fog or clouds for many days in winter, it never ceases to astonish even the most heartened heart.

JANUARY 20TH, 2009
I will be taking a day off today in the hopes that you might spend some time watching the inaguration ceremony's as I will be.
On the eve of this historic day in our nations history, i thought it would be appropriate to share a picture from yesterday at Edmonds waterfront. After going in the morning and observing all the diver traffic headed out to several sites just off shore, I knew a return for an evening sunset was not an option. I have several pictures which I thoroughly enjoyed from last evening, this has to be close to the top. I encourage you to take a moment and think of how far we have come as a country, but even harder about how far we have to go....
Sunshine finally rained down upon us this weekend it was warmly welcomed. This is a tree in a park near my living quarters which has visibly grown sideways its whole life. After walking around the area, there is no visible sign as to why it has done so, being it is the only tree in the park growing as such.
