This young tyke was in fierce combat with his ice cream cone; the jury is still out on who won. What better way to spend your day then down on the Seattle Waterfront? Hope you are having a great day, if not, grab some ice cream!

Where the Red Fern Fell
May 28th, 2009
While we are in the midst of a minor heat wave in the northwest, it thought I would take a stroll and caught this pine felled where it stood. In what used to be the "State of Logging" is interesting to see how many "tree huggers" we now have, as well as how many trees we, as a state, try to save.

Have You Seen My Ship?
May 26th, 2009
A rare time when a cargo ship is not docked in Seattle's normally crowded harbor. Just west of the Colman Dock (home to Washington State's Ferry system) Elliot bay is home to many different species of wildlife and businesses, including the United States Coast Guard.

Upward Beauty
May 26th, 2009
As I was out hiking over the weekend, beneath the canopy of the forest I looked up to find blue birds and robins chirping along our path accompanying us. If you stop and pause and take a minute to reflect you can see things you never dreamed of.
Below is a song -Yo-Yo Ma Cello suite #1
Its only 2 1/2 minutes long so close your eyes and take those two minutes to reflect.

Hidden Wonder
May 25th, 2009
As we celebrate those who have given the ultimate sacrifice today, I am so thankful to have the ability to go out into the woods, take pictures enjoy nature whenever I want. As we were about to leave our campsite, we decided to take a drive and see where it took us, and surprise, we find an amazing medium waterfall off the beaten path.
