This Vespa's for you!

June 4th, 2009

After walking around downtown Seattle for any length of time, it is impossible to ignore the grotesque amount of Vespa's which parade through the streets, Chuck over at Almost one A Day is synonymous with his Vespa. I though I would dedicate this shot to him, and all the other Vespa drivers out there.

"Bad boys, bad boys"

June 3rd, 2009

"The blue and white are on the horizon as your heart races and don't know what to do.... "

Just kidding, this is a cardboard cutout placed against a window frame and covered in paper. It makes for an interesting reaction from passers-by.

Peeking

In the midst of Spring, you can get glimpses of summer. This shot was taken this last weekend on a wonderfully warm afternoon, with the sun bathing my skin with the outstandingly unhealthy UV rays, and I loved every second of it!

Into the woods we go, with the sunlight apparently done for the next week, I thought it would be nice to try and catch a fleeting moment of rays.

Race To Tiger Mountain

April 6th, 2009

What a gorgeous weekend! As you can see I have not posted for the last two days due to the lack of being inside and having time to sit around at the computer. We spent Sunday hiking for a good 6 hours and managed to make the peak of Tiger Mountain through 3-6 feet of snow from 2000 feet on up! What a view and well worth the Sunburn and numbing toes.

Congratulations to E4H(Engineer for Hire) for winning the 100th posting competition!

April 3rd, 2009

A day after snow, and there was still snow. Well that is supposed to clear up this weekend with temps in the 60's!!! So today I draw on a picture taken a month and a half ago out on Lake Washington. The fog rolled in that day and it created a great portrait of the anti-summer camp dock.Enjoy!

Don't forget today is that last day to link back to my site as the winner will be announced tomorrow!!

Up Up and Away

March 31st, 2009

With all the rain we get throughout the year here in western Washington, its no wonder everything is so green. Here in the deep forests of eastern King County the rich and thick moss envelops everything from the ground to the sky.

Something in the Water

March 30th, 2009

Today, the sun decided to show for a few hours and it was a much welcomed sight. We decided to join a throng of others and made it down Marymoor Park to the dog park. We loved being out in sun and soaking in some vitamin D!

Merkiness

March 24th, 2009

On a foggy morning you can look out and barely see the hand in front of your face. However, this morning, even though the fog was in force, it provided an erie picture with some great atmosphere.

C'est la Vie!

M
arch 17th 2009

On this St. Patty's Day we say goodbye to a Seattle icon. The Seattle PI is no more, at least as a "regular" newspaper. It is sad to see something so iconic disappear, however, the only thing I am certain about is nothing lasts forever, regardless how iconic or "big" it is. I wish all those at the PI the best, and welcome to the unemployment line. The Title means Such is Life. Unfortunately, its no longer, " In the PI"
