Jena & Mark Engagement Shoot

May 22, 2010

Although it was a beautiful week out, upon waking up on Saturday it seemed our luck had run out. However, the weather was able to hold out and stay dry through the entire shoot. It is nice to have an arboretum up north and not have to drive all the way into Seattle to find such beauty. Here are some of my favorite shots!

An Evening With Seattle

April 28th 2010

She calls to you, becons in the night, a silent temptress of unimaginable beauty. From the hillsides to the waterfront, to the downtown enclaves, Seattle calls at every hour. She is a city who puts beauty on notice, and one which is hard to duplicate. There are hundreds and thousands of cities throughout the world, yet she is unique in so many ways. Her eloquent skyline, and rapturous mountain can evoke the deepest of yearnings. She is simply... home.]

Above the Clouds

April 3rd, 2010

With a large storm in the Seattle area the last two days we headed across the state for the Easter weekend and as we got through the pass of Snoqualmie, I whipped out my Storm ( for all you IPhone lovers, I love my storm) and snapped this pic above the cloud layer. Hope everyone has a great Easter weekend!

March 15th, 2009

This weekend we sprung forward, if you didn't know why you have been showing up early or late for every appointment. I have been finding many of my pictures coming from the sunset lately, it is such a natural portrait.

A Truly Northwest Sport

March 1st, 2009

On a cool February evening, this native northwesterner showed what a true northwest sport is, paddle surfing. Using the wake of the incoming ferries, this paddle surfer used the fading twilight as his guide.

Trevi Fountain

February 23rd, 2009

Commissioned in 1629, Trevi Fountain has been a source for practical water, as well as uncountable wishes. There is always a crowd around it, regardless of the time of day, and although hundreds of penny's get thrown in, they get cleared out and donated to local charities, so those wishes do make a difference.

Now that..... That is a Sunset

February 22nd, 2009

Now although it is mid February, one might be tempted to think its mid May and summer is nearly upon us. Yesterday I was able to capture this shot on the shore at Edmonds. We could all use a little reflection time, and there is nothing like a magnificent sunset behind the Olympics to inspire our souls.

Always A Great Time for the Museum

February 17th, 2009

In the midst of winter (although you would be hard-pressed to find someone admitting it was winter here in the northwest today) there are a plethora of museums in the great Pacific Northwest. What a great way to break the duldrum of winter blues, then to get out and go to a museum!

Peeking Out

February 11th, 2009

Peeking out from its monstrous front, the Duormo basilica in Firenze, Italy, pokes its head up from behind. And a man takes in the wonderment of it all.
